FP7 : Seventh Framework Programme
Are you active in research and technological development? Do your activities have an European dimension? Then the EU’s Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development might be the right funding opportunity to realise your ambitions.
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) for research and technological development is the EU’s main funding instrument for research. FP7 is meant to be a key tool in achieving the European objectives with respect to growth, competitiveness and employment. The programme runs for seven years from 2007 till 2013 and has a budget of more than 50 billion € available for this period.
FP7 is divided into four main sub-programmes, each with its own specific objectives and actions:
Geographically, FP7 covers the 27 EU Member States and a number of Associated countries which can participate in FP7 on equal footing with the Member States. These Associated countries are Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Israel, Lichtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey.
