Project: FP6: Marie Curie Excellence Grant

Bert Wiersema (Dr. at the University of Groningen):

“In my experience, what makes PNO different is their direct, efficient, pleasant yet businesslike approach. As a customer, you know exactly what to expect: PNO understand the administrative processes related to research requests and deal with them extremely efficiently. It’s reassuring to know that that side of a grant request is covered so that you can focus on the content.

What I find particularly valuable about PNO is that they think ahead, taking into account both the situation of the customer and the requirements of the organisation providing the grant. They are extremely knowledgeable about European as well as national schemes.

An example that illustrates their capabilities is the Marie Curie Excellence Grant. PNO succeeded in acquiring this grant for Professor Moraga González despite being up against very tight deadlines. Of course, the scientific quality of the work is of primary importance. But without PNO’s support during the application process and their knowledge of all the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of this particular grant, we would not have succeeded in submitting our request in the very short time that was available. This is why I strongly recommend PNO to my colleagues.”
