Developing a Simple, Low-Cost Working Prototype

The micro development grant is available for businesses aiming to develop a simple, low-cost working prototype of a product or service that when finished will be ready for manufacturing, licensing or sale. Also eligible for these grants would be the development of a pre-production technology that could be used in technologically innovative processes or products.

Micro development grants are available to all SMEs, with 60% of project costs being covered. The minimum grant amount is £5,000, the maximum £20,000. Projects can be from 3 to 9 months in duration.
