COST is interesting for research institutions and businesses for several reasons
Businesses and organisations from a minimum of seven European Union Member States must participate in a new network to be eligible. The grant pays for the costs related to the coordination, cooperation and distribution of scientific knowledge. The network can be financed for a maximum of four years with an annual grant ranging between 100.000 to 250.000 Euro a year.
By expanding their knowledge and their European network, research institutions and businesses immediately benefit from the COST programme. Tech companies use COST to promote the implementation of their technology in other technological areas. In addition, COST networks are an important instrument for obtaining access to European policy makers, thus providing the opportunity to strategically influence the future European research and policy agenda.
