Helen graduated in 2004 from the University of Leeds with BA (Hons) in Economics and joined the PNO Group in 2006 after working for a Research Group at the University of Manchester. Over the past 9 years, Helen has been involved in all aspects of the grant acquisition process, from the initiation and development of projects, writing and submission of single applicant and collaborative bids, project management and compliance. Helen has managed large collaborative UK and EU bids, ensuring successful partner collaboration between organisations in different sectors and Countries. She has worked across all principle industry sectors with a strong focus on demonstration and innovation support programmes both on a national and European level. Helen has a wealth of experience working with business and academia specifically in the fields of Healthcare and ICT, and has experience in all principle funding schemes including Smart, Collaborative R&D, EUREKA Eurostars, NIHR, FP7, CIP, Life +, SME Instrument, and core Horizon 2020 schemes in the fields of healthcare, security and energy and environment.
Helen has also been involved in the delivery of European funded projects (BIOCHEM, CARDIOSCAPE), where she was responsible for delivering a range of dissemination activities including press releases, social media and organising events. In addition to her consultant role, Helen is also responsible for training and supporting our growing team here at PNO, as well as providing ongoing external training in the form of presentations and workshops, to educate clients on all aspects of grant funding.
