James graduated from the University of Warwick in 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Law and Business. Prior to joining the PNO Group, James spent almost 6 years working in Quality Control within various industries (medical devices, automotive and aerospace), focusing particularly on inspection procedure and system improvements, and communicating the outcomes of investigations and future requirements throughout the supply chain.
James is experienced in researching, writing and managing of applications to national innovation funding schemes, including Innovate UK competitions such as the Open Programme and SMART (in categories as diverse as Energy, ICT/Digital and Materials/Manufacturing), as well as thematic competitions such as the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund. In addition to this, James supports many of PNO’s clients in the post-award stage with compliance, project management and reporting services.
James also has experience of European R&D funding schemes, such as Horizon 2020, by being involved in PNO’s contribution to collaborative projects covering Cloud Public Services (CLIPS), Digital Social Innovation (CHEST), Hydrogen Fuel Cells (HEATSTACK) and Gravure Printing (GREEN GRAVURE), where James is responsible for a wide range of tasks covering areas including project management, dissemination and communication.
Since joining PNO, James has also taken a leading role in our marketing activity, for example events coordination, social media management and website content.
