Het Innovative Health Initiative, kortweg IHI, is een Europees Public-Private Partnership dat innovatie en onderzoek binnen de Europese Gezondheidssector stimuleert door onder andere subsidies voor innovatieve projecten. Om geïnteresseerde partijen voldoende tijd te geven bij de voorbereiding van een competitief projectvoorstel, besloot het IHI om de huidige ‘draft’ versies van Oproepen 3 en 4 al vroegtijdig te publiceren. Gezien het uitdrukkelijk om ‘drafts’ gaat, die momenteel geëvalueerd worden door de ‘IHI’s States Representatives Group’ en het ‘Science and Innovation Panel’, is het mogelijk dat er nog wijzigingen zullen doorgevoerd worden aan de oproep tekst. Alleen de finaal gepubliceerde Oproepen zullen geldig zijn.
Oproep 3 – verwachte timing lancering oproep: december 2022
Deze single-stage oproep zal projecten verwelkomen die innovaties beogen binnen volgende thema’s:
- Screening platform and biomarkers for prediction and prevention of diseases of unmet public health need
- Patient generated evidence to improve outcomes, support decision making, and accelerate innovation
- Combining hospital interventional approaches to improve patient outcomes and increase hospital efficiencies
- Strengthening the European ecosystem for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) and other innovative therapeutic modalities for rare diseases
- Digital health technologies for the prevention and personalised management of mental disorders and their long-term health consequences
Oproep 4 – verwachte timing lancering oproep: voorjaar 2023
Deze two-stage oproep verwelkomt projecten op onderstaande thema’s:
- Expanding translational knowledge in minipigs: a path to reduce and replace non-human primates in non-clinical drug safety assessment
- Patient-centric blood sample collection to enable decentralised clinical trials and improve access to healthcare
